Tiny 3-year-old Irish dancer goes viral with adorable footwork

An adorable three-year-old child was recorded dancing her heart out and it is just too cute.
Meghan Surrell from Orlando posted a video of her daughter Zoe and it has gone viral, and why wouldn’t it? Zoe is amazing!

And it really is impressive considering most three-year-olds can barely run straight. This child is doing the real Irish jig, almost like she’s something out of a cartoon.

The dance is a celebration of the country’s rich history and culture. It’s experienced a resurgence thanks to Riverdance, and soon captured the imagination of many.

The cultural dance started with the Celts which arrived at the same time Christianity was introduced by Saint Patrick during the 5th century. That’s an interesting mashup.

The subsequent periods of political unrest saw many written documents on the dance destroyed, but the Celts’ somehow persevered and carried on the rich music and dance traditions.

The dance and its background continued to be passed down to the next generations.

And now this little girl at the tender age of three has her whole life ahead of her. Zoe can pass the dance on to her future daughter, to her grandchildren, and so on.

The balance, the poise, and the energy needed to execute the dance is out of this world.

Most of the dances were comprised of circular formations which were done around sacred trees. Certain patterns were also performed by males and females in a religious rite.

Modern step dance performances have now moved to venues such as theaters or outdoor stages, with official competitions even organized. today’s dancers are encouraged to utilize all space of a stage, just like this little one is doing.

Centuries prior, dancers couldn’t really do so due to a lack of ample room to dance. Think small pubs or taverns.
